VibeSail is operated by Vibesail LLC (“we”, “us”). This page explains what information we handle when you use vibesail.com and related game services.
Account information
If you create an account—by email and password, magic link, or Google Sign-In—we receive your email address and basic identifiers needed to authenticate you. With Google Sign-In, Google shares your email and basic profile information with us so we can create or sign into your VibeSail account. We use this to provide account features such as geo / 3D city sailing access, profiles, leaderboards, and feedback.
Gameplay and profile data
We store gameplay-related data you generate while playing (for example race times, display name, country/flag preference, and settings tied to your account).
Feedback
Feedback you post on the public board is visible to other players. We may also notify our team for review, which can include your account email and the content you submitted.
We send transactional emails related to your account (for example sign-in links, email verification, and password resets).
If you opt in, we may also send occasional VibeSail product updates—for example game and product news, launches, demos, festivals, major releases, and related partnership or sponsor announcements when relevant. These are rare, not a regular newsletter. You can unsubscribe at any time from your Profile or via the link in each update email.
Analytics
We use analytics tools (such as PostHog, Google Analytics, Simple Analytics, and Ahrefs) to understand how the site and game are used and to improve them. Analytics identifiers are not your email address.
Notifications
If you enable browser push notifications, we use a push provider (OneSignal) tied to your notification preference—not for email marketing.
Payments
If you use paid features or sponsorship options, billing is processed by Stripe. We do not store full payment card numbers on our servers.
Maps and 3D scenes
Some game scenes use third-party map and 3D tile services (including Google). Those providers may process technical data needed to deliver the tiles under their own terms.
Spam protection and hosting
We use service providers to host the service and protect forms (for example Cloudflare Turnstile on feedback). They process data only as needed to provide those services.
Cookies and local storage
We use cookies and browser storage for sign-in sessions, language and settings preferences, analytics, and similar functional needs.
Your choices
You can update profile details in your account. Email product updates are opt-in only; you can change that preference or unsubscribe anytime. For privacy questions or account deletion requests, use the Contact page or the account deletion instructions on your Profile.
Changes
We may update this policy as the product changes. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we do.
